Born March 2, 1926 in Clayton, Illinois. Marjorie was the daughter of Ralph and Venia Zeiger Vollbracht. She married Sterling Moore on March 9, 1946 in Hannibal, Missouri. He preceded her in death on March 1, 2004. Marjorie was a housewife and loving Mother to her children and her family. She was known for her pleasant personality and was a very humble individual. She faithfully took care of her family, helping them with whatever they needed. She was well known for fixing meals for whoever visited. She enjoyed having family for the holidays, parties, and for any other occasions.
Survivors include three sons, Gary Moore (Jill) of Quincy, Denny Moore (Ruth Anne) of Barry, IL and Mike Moore of Hull, IL; a daughter, Terry McNary (Robert) of Plainville, IL; four grandchildren, Robert McNary, Linda Baechle, Tammy Carlen and Katie Wycislo; and several great-grandchildren and great-great- grandchildren. She is also survived by three sisters-in-law, Lena "Nubie" Vollbracht of Quincy, Marilyn Vollbracht of South Dakota and Wilma Moore of Quincy.
Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her loving husband, Sterling, her parents, three brothers; Verle, Dale and Glenn, two sisters; Vivian Easley and Darlene Ritterbusch.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at 10:00AM in Greenmount Cemetery with Pastor Keith Ehresman officiating. There is no visitation but friends and family are invited to attend the graveside service.
Memorials may be made to Good Samaritan Home.
