Betty Sue Peacock, beloved mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away on November 12, 2018, in Snohomish, Washington. She was 85. Betty was born November 15, 1932, in Estancia, New Mexico, to Samuel and Hazel Massey. She was the youngest of seven children. Throughout her life, Betty fondly recalled her childhood surrounded by the beauty and tranquility of New Mexico's Glorieta Mesa, where the family lived in a two-room log cabin.
The family moved to Delta, Colorado in 1948, where Betty graduated from Delta High School in 1951. She married George Kent Peacock on November 1, 1952 in Roswell, New Mexico. Later in life, Betty lived in Grand Junction, Colorado and Snohomish, Washington.
Betty enjoyed reading, embroidering, discussing politics, telling stories, listening to country and bluegrass music, and spending time with her family. Betty was deeply committed to her family and dedicated a large part of her life to the care of her children, George Scott Peacock, Amy Georgette Peacock, David Austin Peacock and Dane Warner Peacock. Her unwavering love and support for them will always be remembered.
