Benjamin F. Brown, 73, a retired farmer, died Sunday night about 7:30 o'clock at the home of his daughter Mrs. H.F. Stone at Udall. Mr. Brown had lived in this county for a number of years and was well known in the Dale community where he lived for 18 years. Since the death of his wife eight years ago he had made his home with his daughters Mrs. Stone and Mrs. George Schmidt both of Udall.
Mr. Brown had been in failing health for a long time but only the last two weeks had he been confined to his bed. He was born in Pennsylvania, November 15, 1854. Other children surviving are another daughter Mrs. Ed Ischopp of Cadoa, Colo. And two sons Robert and Frank Brown of Joliet, Ill.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Congregational church in Udall. Rev. S.F. Scott will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Vernon cemetery.
