Ernest E. Hubert, 89, a retired tool and die maker, died yesterday. He was born in Switzerland and came to the United States 69 years ago. Mr. Hubert lived in Fort Lee before moving to Closter 18 years ago. He retired from Bendix Aviation, Teterboro, in 1957. Mr. Hubert was a 60-year life member of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers. He also was a member of Wakefield-Rising Star Masonic Lodge 211 of Fort Lee; and past patron of Wakefield Chapter 114, Order of Eastern Star. In May 1975, he received a 50-year Gold Token from Wakefield-Rising Star Lodge. Surviving are his wife, Rose; a daughter, Ottilie Wilson of Closter; a sister, Hedwig Bachmann in Switzerland, one grandchild, and one great-grandchild. Masonic services will be tonight at 8:15, followed by religious services at 8:45 in John G. Heus and Son Funeral Home, 319 Main St., Fort Lee. Burial will be Saturday in Riverview Cemetery, Wilmington, Vt. Friends may call today from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. at the funeral home.
