PHYLLIS JEAN NASH, 56, of Ranger, passed away on May 26, 2004 at her home. Burial was at Evergreen Cemetery.

Phyllis was born on September 25, 1947 in Newport, Arkansas to Floyd M. and Ora Mae (Simcox) Campbell. She graduated from Ranger School and Ranger College where she studied to be an LVN. She worked for 24 years in health care as a nurse at the Ranger General Hospital, Eastland Nursing Homes, and private duty nursing. She married James A. Nash on August 27, 1964 in Provencal, Louisiana. She was affiliated with the Church of Christ.

At the time of her death, she was survived by husband, Jim Nash of Ranger; mother, Ora Mae Simcox of Ranger; son, Joe Nash (RHS-1986) and wife Bonnie of Ranger; brothers, Donald Edwards of Ranger, Steve Lewis of Ranger, Kenneth Edwards of New Orleans, LA, Dennis Edwards of Waco, and Donald Campbell of Midlothian; sisters, Celita White of St. Louis, MO, Janet Ballard of Morningsport, LA, and Alma Vigil of Alamosa, CO; Grandchildren, Stephanie Diane Nash, Justin Monroe Nash, and Brian Mikeal Nash all of Ranger; & numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, and her son Michael Nash.
