Tommy Clyde Bevers, 90, of Salado, Tx died Nov 21 at William Courtney Veterans Home in Temple, Tx. Mr. Bevers was born Aug 22, 1928, to Charles Spencer, Sr. and Bathus Bevers in Floydada, Tx. He was married to the love of his life, Thelma, for 52 years. He had been a resident of Salado for 20 yrs. He began his career in the oilfield working as a Roustabout near Odessa, Tx and retired as a Production Superintendent. In retirement, he built beautiful furniture known as Wooden Classics. Survivors include one brother, Billy Bevers, Sr of Lubbock; three children - Katie Nichols of Carlsbad, NM, Bruce Bevers (Katye) of Pelham, Al and Steve Bevers (Sharon) of Prosper, Tx; seven grandchildren - Jess (Daisy), Charles (Nevada), Daniel (Megan), Kenneth (Ashley), Aaron, Greg and Matt; eleven grandchildren; one nephew Billy Bevers, Jr (Janna) and one niece Charlene Jones (Don).
