Roy E. Allman

April 8, 1920 - January 26, 2008

Roy was a Veteran Pioneer Little League Coach. He retired from coaching in 1993 at the age of 73. He coached for over 28 years, and had a baseball field named after him at Anderson Park. After coaching hundreds of games and hundreds of players Roy left a legacy of teaching the sport he loved and good sportsmanship to youngsters. He is a legend for all of those to whom he had given so much of his time and devoted so much of his life to the game. Roy was a Veteran of World War II Navy in the Seabees. He Retired from Smith's Heating and Air Conditioning. Roy was a sheet metal worker for over 45 years. Dad will be missed by all who knew him. He loved his sons and grandchildren very much. He was a church member at Holy Cross United Methodist Church.

He is preceded in death by his wife Alice who passed away in 1999. He is survived by his sons, Lynn Allman and wife Vickie of Valley Springs, Mark Allman and wife Kelly of Stockton, and Randy Allman and Daughter-in-law Debbie Watson of Lodi. Grandchildren Hilary Allman, Jennifer Solo, Angela Allman, Danielle Allman, Bobbie Crow, James and Kara Tinkler and John and Adrienne Flood, and Six Great-Grandchildren.

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 30, 2008 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Frisbie-Warren & Carroll Mortuary. Services will be Thursday, January 31, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. Committal will follow at Cherokee Memorial Park. Frisbie-Warren & Carroll entrusted with the arrangements.
