E. J. SHARP, 56, of Lake Leon and formerly of Olden passed away on February 16, 2006. Burial was in the Eastland City Cemetery. He was among three who died in a truck-train collision in Olden.

Mr. Sharp was born in Ranger, Texas on June 13, 1949 to Elmer J. and Lorene Kathryn McCoy. Mr. Sharp entered the United States Army in December 1966 and was honorably discharged on November of 1968 serving as a heavy truck driver for the Corps of Engineers. He married Tana Maurine Eaker on October 3, 1970 and she preceded him in death. Mr. Sharp was a member of the American Legion Post #553 for over 25 years and past commander, member of the Disabled American Veterans Association, and V.F.W. Post # 4136 for over 25 years and was past trustee and chaplain. Mr. Sharp
was preceded in death by a brother Bud Sharp and a sister Geneva Sharp.

At the time of his death, Mr. Sharp was survived by daughters Kim Sharp & husband Lance of Brock, Cherissa Sharp Allsup of Ranger, a companion Debra Dehaven of Eastland, sisters Marcella Pennington of Ranger, Janice Maston of Eastland, June Berry of Weatherford, brothers Johnny Sharp of Ranger, Jimmy Allen Sharp and Jimmy Ray Sharp both of Eastland, Wayne Sharp of Eastland, Rudolph Sharp of Jacksboro, John L. Sharp of Peaster, T. M. Sharp of Weatherford, Odell Sharp of Stephenville, also five grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
