Mary G. Davis, age 78, of Newport passed away Thursday, October 18, 2012 at home.

She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her sons Ray Davis and Glenn Davis, grandson Justin Davis, parents Dillard and Samantha Franklin, brothers Milburn Franklin, Kenneth Franklin, Roger Franklin, and William Franklin, sisters Dessalee Winter, Rosetta Ottinger, and Reba Mae Ottinger.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Marie and Ben Holder of Newport, granddaughter and grandson-in-law Jeannie and Mike Lane of Parrottsville, granddaughter Stacie Holder, of Newport, grandson BJ Davis of Dandridge, great grandchildren Bradlee Lane and Samantha Lane, both of Parrottsville daughter-in-law Becky Davis, of Dandridge, sisters and brothers-in-law Ollie and Herbert Lafollette of Cleveland, Ohio, Betty Jo and Howard Lafollette of Parrottsville, Additional survivors include several very special nieces and nephews, and special friends Wanda Lane of Parrottsville and Jennie Ball of Newport.

The funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Friday evening, October 19, 2012 at Costner-Maloy Funeral Home with Pastor Manson Lee and Rev. David Hall officiating. Family and friends will meet at 9:45a.m.Saturday, October 20, 2012 at Faubion Cemetery for the 10:00 interment. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday evening, prior to the service.
