Mr. Carl Lewis Huntley Of Catoosa, Oklahoma crossed over on November 17, 2018.
Born on June 25, 1940, Carl grew up in Ft. Worth Texas where he attended public schools and went on to earn a BA from the University of Texas. He met his beautiful wife Mearl in San Jose, California and the couple were blessed to be the parents of three wonderful boys.
During more than a fifty-year career in the industry Carl has lived in San Jose, California, Houston, Texas, and Austin Texas. He held a number of positions including, Vice President of sales and marketing with Rainbow Systems Analysis Group Inc., one of the first black owned technology companies to graduate from the Austin technology Incubator {ATI}, in the C2 institute at the University of Texas in Austin, Texas.
Carl was a member of the First Baptist Church of North Tulsa and served as a volunteer for several organizations through the years including the Austin Meals On Wheels program, the Austin Downtown Commission, Board Member of the Greater Austin Black Chamber of Commerce, a founder of the Precursors, a life member of the; Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, and also a licensed real estate agent.
He has been the recipient of many Key Achievement Awards, loved sports and dearly loved spending time with his family.
Carl leaves to cherish his memory, his beautiful wife; Mearl, His three sons; Lance, Marcus, and Ryan Huntley, three grandchildren; Carlos, Chelsea, and Jackson Huntley, two sisters; Carol Bowens, Sandra McCallister, two brothers; Brian Huntley, Jimmy Huntley’ and Mattie Huntley, along with many other friends and relatives.
