Mrs. Herbert L. Schmidt nee Mary Lou Danz of Fredericksburg, Texas passed away in her home on Sunday, November 18th, 2018 at the age of 88 years. She was born in Stonewall, Texas on May 26th, 1930, the daughter on Paul Danz and Hilda Hitzfeld Danz, married Herbert L. Schmidt, on October 22nd, 1947 in Trinity Lutheran Church, Albert, Texas, She and her husband owner and operated Schmidt Electric, member of F.U.M.C., the church choir, Melinda Woerner Circle, Fbg. PTA, Band Boosters, Boy’s Scouts and Girl’s Scouts.
Preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Eloise, Mrs. Arnold Klein; Vivian, Mrs. Elmer Herbort; and Lorine, Mrs. Charlie Weinheimer.
Mary Lou is survived by her husband, Herbert Schmidt of Fredericksburg, three sons, three daughters & Spouses, Bobby & Debbie Schmidt of San Antonio, Pamela & Don Koenig of New Braunfels
Dorman & Vicki Schmidt of Fredericksburg, Nancy & Mike Gerow of Houston, Bonnie Eckhardt of Fredericksburg, Michael & Lisa Schmidt of Stonewall, 15 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren
Sister in law: Dorothy, Mrs. Roland Schmidt of Fredericksburg.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 21st, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. in the Fredericksburg United Methodist Church in Fredericksburg, with Rev. George Lumpkin and Rev. Monte Marshall officiating.
Graveside services and interment will follow in Der Stadt Friedhof Cemetery in Fredericksburg.
