Avis Roberson Haner
SCHENECTADY - Avis Roberson Haner died Monday, Jan 14, at the Ellis Hospital, Schenectady. Mrs. Haner was born in Shushan, the daughter of Albert and Emma Roberson.
A graduate of Oneonta State College, she taught school in Lower Camden before she was married.
Wife of the late R. Paul Haner, she was a member of the New England Women and was secretary of the Society of Mayflower Descendants and National Secretary of the Soul Kindred of America.
Mrs. Haner is survived by two daughters; Miss Elizabeth Jean Haner of Schnectady and Mrs. Kenneth (Margaret Ann) Rocks of Vero Beach, Fla.; a sister, Mrs. George (Barbara) Sutherland of Shushan and five grandchildren.
A memorial service was held at Lisba Kill Reformed Church and burial was in Memory's Garden.
