Waynesboro -- ROBERT E. STRAIT SR., 75, of 4788 Altenwald Road, died Monday, Marych 26 at his home. Born in Hustontown, Pa., he was the son of the late david and Josephine Chestnut Strait.
He was formerly employed by H.J. Heinz Co. and Wilson College, both in Chambersburg, Pa. He was a member of Soloman's Lutheran Church in Grindstone Hill.
He is survived by his wife, Ida Beltz Strait; two daughteres, Rebecca Helman and Hazel Strait; two sons, Robert E. Jr. and David F. Strait; sister, Bertha Rouzer, Hustontown; brother, McCullen Strait, Huntington, Pa.; and four grandchildren.
Services were held at Park-Geisel Funeral Home. Burial in Grindstone Hill Cemetery.
