Arduth Beshears, 91, passed away on November 17, 2018 in Midwest City, Oklahoma. Arduth was born on March 3, 1927 in Sumner, TX to Albert Earl and Lizzie Mae (Ledbetter) Freeland. Arduth moved to Blair, OK in 1942 and graduated from Blair High School in 1946. She moved to Oklahoma City in 1952 and met Robert Lee Beshears. They married on January 26, 1957 and together they had three children, Robin, Ann, and Bob. Arduth was very active in the PTA at Eastside Elementary School and was their Treasurer for 2 years. While being involved in PTA, she was awarded "Oklahoma Congress of Parents and Teachers" and "Distingushed Service Award for Home School and Community Service". Arduth was very active in her children's activities whether it was being a Girl Scout leader, the Boy Scout den mother, or the vice-president of the band parents at Jarman Junior High. She was very active in her community as well by volunteering at Midwest City Regional Hospital since 1991 and teaching in the nursery of the First Baptist Church of Midwest City. Arduth was also known for her embroidery. She made everyone in her family Christmas stockings. Christmas was a very special time for Arduth because she would display her Santa Claus Land and get to spend time with her family to whom she loved very much. Arduth is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Lee Beshears; 2 brothers; and 6 sisters. Survivors include her children, Robert Beshears and wife Tina, Ann Grissom and husband Wayne, Robin Hobbs and husband Jason, and Jim Jordan; grandchildren, Allison Neathery and husband Trent, Brittany Beshears, Crystal Keeler and husband Kyle Cornett, Tiffany Gonzales and husband Adam, and Donald Hobbs; great-grandchildren, Ephesian Faith Keeler, Corinthian Love Cornett, Evan Gonzales, and Sarah Gonzales; and numerous other friends and family members who will miss her dearly. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at the First Baptist Church of Midwest City with interment to follow at Arlington Memory Gardens.
