Mrs. Claire A. (Breen) Day, 72, died early this morning at her home here. She was the wife of Arthur W. Day. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Wilmington Baptist Church. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call at the Covey Funeral Home Saturday and Sunday evenings from 7 to 9. She was born Feb. 8, 1898, in Boston, daughter of John Breen and Josephine Breen Collins. Her marriage to Mr. Day took place in Readsboro, and they lived there for some time before moving to Wilmington. For many years Mrs. Day was manager of the Wilmington office of the New England Telephone Co. She was a member of Mayflower Chapter, O.E.S. Besides her husband, she leaves a son, Cecil M. Day of Brattleboro; a daughter, Mrs. Richard P. Raymo of Wilmington; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
