Donald Lynn “Brandy” Brasel, 71, of Tuttle, returned to his home in heaven on Saturday, November 10, 2018. He was born October 9, 1947, at Fort Clayton, in the Panama Canal Zone.

Growing up in a military family, Don lived in Japan, Virginia, and Louisiana before making his home in Oklahoma where he graduated from Western Heights High School in 1966. He married Valonda Sue Fischer on June 20, 1975, in Oklahoma City. Don and Val moved to Tuttle in 1980. Don was most recently employed with Tuttle Public Schools where he served as support staff for the in-school suspension program at the Junior high and High school. Don enjoyed hunting and fly fishing and was a member of the NRA. Other hobbies included photography, woodworking, and making knives. His greatest enjoyment came from listening to all types of music with his three grandchildren, especially rock and roll. Don’s passing will leave a void that will never be filled. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald Eugene Brasel and Lenes Lorraine (Pendley) Brasel.

Don is survived by his wife of 43 years, Val Brasel of Tuttle; one son, Geoffrey Brasel and his wife, Lori, three grandchildren, Mason Brasel, Maddie Brasel, and Maleigh Brasel, all of Newcastle; one brother, Robert Brasel of Oklahoma City; and many other loved ones and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, November 17, 2018, at the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard. Memorial donations may be made in Don’s name to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard.
