Dennis Wayne Anders, Sr. passed away November 15, 2018 at the age of 55 with his family by his side. He was born July 2, 1963 in San Antonio, Texas to Robert and Coralene Anders. He proudly served as a police officer for over 25 years and received his Master Peace Officer Certificate. He also served as the SRO for APISD. He was a founder of Cops for Tots and the Sgt. Anders Family Meal Baskets, named in his honor. He will be remembered as being involved and dedicated to his family and his community. 

He is preceded in death by his parents.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his children, Kayla Caraker (Steven) of Ingleside, Dennis Wayne “DJ” Anders, Jr., of Rogersville, Tennessee, Lauren Anders and Robert Kyle Anders both of Aransas Pass; sister, Debbie Stahl (Michael) of La Vernia; grandchildren, Austin Gene, Colten Wayne, Paislee Diana; nephews, Steven, Randall and niece, Hannah; numerous friends who will greatly miss him.

Visitation will be held from 10:00a.m. until service time at 2:00p.m. conducted by Pastor Donald Volz on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Aransas Pass.
