Clinton Edwin "Scotty" Taylor, 61, died Tuesday, May 15, 2007, at the North Miss. Medical Center in Tupelo. He was owner and manager of the Tombigbee Lumber Company in Fulton. He was a member of the First Pentecostal Church of Tupelo. He loved his family and especially enjoyed his grandchildren and his church family. He enjoyed traveling and working with his gamefowls. He enjoyed gospel singing and sang with the Landmarks Quartet for many years.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the First Pentecostal Church of Tupelo with the Rev. Larry Hill Sr. and the Rev. Larry Hill II officiating, with the eulogy by James Cook. Burial will be in the Blue Mountain Church of the Lord Jesus Christ Cemetery. McBride Funeral Home of Ripley is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include his wife, Volene Pipkin Taylor of Blue Mountain; two daughters, Andrea Jones (Jeff) of New Albany and Amy Lawton (Eddie) of Walnut; one son, Kevin Taylor (Phyllis) of Myrtle; one sister, Billie Heard (James) of Blue Mountain; one brother, Lanny Taylor (Ginger) of Blue Mountain; five grandchildren, Chelsea Taylor, Zack Jones, Sydney Taylor, Bethany Jones and Meredith Lawton; and his mother-in-law, Sidney Pipkin of Blue Mountain.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William "Bill" Hezzie and Imogene Pearl Williams Taylor.

Pallbearers will be James Cook, Danny Soper, Gerald Washington, Randy Vinson, Sonny Tate, James Byers, Wayne Rhudy, Donald Fly, Jerry Kelly and Jimmy Windham. Honorary pallbearers will be the men of the Adult Sunday School Class of the First Pentecostal Church of Tupelo and friends of the Gamefowls Breeders Association.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942 or the American Red Cross, 111 N. Camp Street, New Albany, MS 38652 or to the Lymphedmia Association or to a charity of the donor's choice.
