On November 8, 2018 Stanley E. Hale of Lubbock passed away peacefully with family at his side. Stan was born on August 12, 1933 in the township of Nabisco, Oklahoma to Beatrice and Ernest Hale. After graduating high school, he joined the Army serving for 2 years and after his service he went on to college. He then was employed as an auto/diesel mechanic for many years and then as a telephone installation technician. Stan married Joanne Wallace in Lubbock on October 9, 1964 where they stayed until moving to Denver for 11 years. They then relocated back to Lubbock where they have remained since 1980.

Stan and Joanne have enjoyed camping and fishing in Colorado with friends and family for many years. Stan loved to work with his hands and made many beautiful items made from wood for those he loved.

Stan is preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother, James Hale. He is survived by Joanne, his bride of 54 years, 1 son, Tracy and Sharla Wallace, 4 daughters, Camille and Randy Pritchett, Sherry and Sam Pollinzi, Terry Smith, Deanne Robertson, 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He is also survived by 3 brothers, Carroll Hale, Lyndol Hale, Doug Hale and sister Martha Bader, a host of nieces and nephews and many wonderful friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to be made to the Children’s Home of Lubbock, Hospice of Lubbock and Alzheimer’s research.

The family would like to extend our love and gratitude to the past and present staff at Manna Acres, Calvert Home Health Services, and Hospice of Lubbock for their love and care for Stan the past several years.
