DEATH OF WILLIAM PELLEY
PASSES AWAY AT HIS HOME ON SOUTH GARRISON

He and Mrs. Pelley Moved Here From Denver Three Years Ago - Funeral Plans Not Made


William A. Pelley, 83, resident of Carthage three years, died at 6:30 o'clock last night at the home, 1624 South Garrison. He had been in failing health several years. His condition became serious in September.
Mr. Pelley was born May 8, 1866 in Lynn, Massachusetts.
He and Mrs. Pelley came here from Denver, where he had made his home 25 years. He was a member of the Laymen's Home Missionary Movement.
Surviving Mr. Pelley are his wife, Mrs. Golda Wilkinson Pelley; a son, W. D. A. Pelley, who live in the east, and two grandchildren, Allen and Barbara Phillips of Massachusetts. A daughter, Mrs. Edna Phillips, died two years ago.
The body was moved to the Ulmer funeral home and funeral services will be held there, the date to be announced later. Elder A. E. Fowler of LaRussell will conduct the service and burial will be in the Avilla Cemetery.
