Ruth Irene Chastain Gentile, 59, of Norman, Oklahoma, formerly of Lebanon, Missouri, died Tuesday June 5, 2001, in her home.
She was born January 28, 1942 at Russ to Farrell and Pearl Knight Chastian.
Ruth was preceded in death by her father, Farrell and one son, Lyle Chastain.
She lived in Russ and Lebanon most of her life and worked at Breech Medical Center for many years.
Surviors inclede her husband, Joe Gentile, of the home; her mother, Pearl Chastain, of Lebanon; one brother, William Farrell Chastain Jr., of Lebanon; two sons, Karl and Kevin Tait, of Springfield; one daughter, Cindy Davis, of Lebanon; a number of grandchildren, neices and nephews.

Ruth Gentile battled a long battle with Colon Cancer and after her passing in 2001, her dream was fulfilled. Her body was donated to science to help find a cure for cancer and to help others living with the disease.
