She is preceded in death by her parents Jose and Librada M. Cavazos, her husband Abel Canales, one son Lauro Canales, one sister Maria Sobevda Cavazos , one son-in-law Clyde Halsey, two grandsons Phillip Anthony Reyes and Isaac Arman Reyes and numerous In-laws. She is survived by her three sons Leonel (Margarita H.) Canales of Benavides, Texas, Luis Abel (Alicia M.) Canales of Kingsville, Texas and Leovardo (Irma C.) Canales of Hebbronville, Texas, five daughters Lilly Halsey, Ludy (Ramiro C.) Salinas both of Corpus Christi, Texas, Luz Maria (Ruben) Reyes of Lake Jackson, Texas, Linda (Barbara Luna) Canales of Corpus Christi, Texas and Lora Jane (Mario) Trevino of Lake Jackson, Texas, one brother Dr. Jose (Maria Elena) Cavazos and one brother-in-law Leonel Garcia, Sr. both of Corpus Christi, Texas, five sisters Cedilia (Corando) Guajardo and Oralia Marie Ramirez both of Corpus Christi, Texas, Pauline Duron of Callalen, Texas, Juanita Guerra of Ramirez, Texas and Idalia Jamie of Corpus Christi, Texas, nineteen grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and her LOVING COMADRES. Active Pallbearers, Orlando H. Visitation will begin on Sunday, November 4, 2018 from 3 p.m. - 4 p.m. at Mauro P. Garcia Funeral Home in San Diego, Texas with a Rosary to be recited at 5 p.m. that same evening. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, November 5, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Realitos, Texas. Burial will follow at Tienditas Ranch Cemetery in Tienditas Community.
