Linda Kay Bechtold Leach, 67, of Franklin passed away peacefully Saturday morning November 10, 2018 at her home.

Funeral services for Linda will be 10 A.M. Wednesday November 14 at St. John’s United Church of Christ in Billingsville, followed by burial in the church cemetery.

Linda Kay Leach was born May 21, 1951 in Boonville, MO., the daughter of Roy James Bechtold and Martha Elizabeth Friedrich Bechtold. She graduated New Franklin High School in 1969 and then continued her education at Columbia College graduating with a bachelor’s degree. She married Benjamin William Leach in May of 1969. Linda loved to garden, was an avid fisherman and was a heck of a cook. She lived in New Franklin all of her life and was a substitute teacher and worked in the cafeteria. Linda loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and family. She loved doing things for the community and her church. She was always willing to give a hand to anyone that needed help.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Martha. She is survived by her sons, Christopher Travis (Jen) Leach of Carls Junction, MO, Eric Brian (Maggie) Leach of Phoenix, AZ., daughter, Felicia Nicole Leach of Columbia, MO. She is also survived by her brother, Roy Darrell (Nancy) Bechtold of Rocheport, MO., sisters, Martha Mae (Kim) Graves of Sedalia, MO., Shirley Dianne Bechtold (Bill Mahoney) of New Franklin, MO., and Roylene Elizabeth (Chris) Kempf of Boonville, MO. She will be missed by her grandchildren, Emma Christine, Ella Marie, Aidan Marie, Cameron William, Avery Quinn and one on the way in December.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the St. Johns Cemetery Association or Relay for Life.
