OLD SETTLER PASSES AWAY
Mrs. Sarah D. Bennett, 83 years old, widow of the late Frank Bennett, died Sunday morning at the home of her son, M.I. Bennett, nears Peace Valley. She had been a resident of Howell County for many years coming here from Tennessee in the early days of this country.
Surviving the deceased are the son at whose home she died and two step-sons, Charles Bennett and Dodson Bennett, both of Peace Valley. A number of other relatives and a large circle of friends mourn the death of Mrs. Bennett.
For many years Mrs. Bennett was a devout member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church and her funeral services were conducted by her pastor, Rev. E.T. King, of Cull. The services were held at Bennett's Chapel on Monday afternoon.
