Velma Everett O'Neal, , age 83, of Maryville, died Friday at 8:41 PM at her home. Mrs. O Neal was a member of Niles Ferry Baptist Church and was retired from Five Point Cleaners.
She was preceded in death by infant son, Billy O Neal; parents, Callie & Frank Everett; foster aunt, Ida Linebarger; Son-in-law, Johnnie Barbra; five brothers, Glenn, Chester, Harold, Golmer & Finley Everett.
Survivors include her husband of 66 Years, William L. O Neal; Son & daughter-in-law, Glenn Robert & Pat O Neal, of Virginia; daughter, Joyce Barbra and daughter and son-in-law, Janice & John Cable all of Maryville; loving grandchildren, Kathy Buckner, Debbie Talbott, Leslie O Neal; step-grandchildren Ginger Barbra, Gina Flanagin; great-grandchildren, Heather, Halley, Justin, Lauren, Brandon, Josh and Beth; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Raymond & Nell O Neal of Greenback; sisters-in-law: Kathleen Millsaps, Irene Wallace, Esteen Coulter, Mildred O Neal, Teresa Everett, Terry Everett; foster sisters, Merle Everett and Veva Knox; loving niece & husband, Carolyn & Grover Dunn; several other nieces & nephews she loved very much.
Funeral Services for Mrs. O Neal will be at 7:30 PM Sunday, April 7, 2002 at West Chapel, Smith Mortuary with Rev. John Churchman and Rev. R. M. Everett officiating. Interment at 3:00 PM Monday, April 8, 2002 at Laurel Bank Baptist Church Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:30 PM Sunday at Smith Mortuary.
