Eileen M. Getz, 89, of Chalmers, formerly of Reynolds passed away on November 9, 2018 at her residence. She was born September 26, 1929 in Livingston County, IL to the late Paul and Martha (Waibel) Honegger.
Eileen was a 1947 graduate of Forest Township High School of Illinois. Her marriage was to Maurice D. Getz on October 4, 1959. He preceded her in death on January 29, 2011. Eileen and Maurice were long time members of the Remington Apostolic Christian Church.
Eileen and her husband lived south of Seafield on the farm where they raised three children. She cherished time spent with family and friends.
Surviving are three children, Edward Getz of Morton, IL, Susan (husband: Tom) Waldbeser of Palmetto, GA, and Douglas “Doug” Getz of Chalmers; grandchildren, Drew Waldbeser, Elise (husband: Isaac) Funk, Sheree Waldbeser, Ashlyn Waldbeser, Wynn Waldbeser, and Liona Waldbeser. Also surviving are siblings, Mildred (husband: Glenn (deceased) Zimmerman, Wayne (deceased) (wife: Eleanor) Honegger, Evelyn (husband: Dick (deceased) Zorn, Nancy (husband: Lloyd) Bachtold, Viola (deceased) (husband: Lloyd) Bachtold, and Gary (deceased) (wife: Mary Lee deceased) Honegger.
She is preceded in death by her parents and husband.
