Sudden Death.
Mr. C. O. Lind, one of the active business men of this city, died very suddenly at his residence near South Park night before last. He had been suffering from a cold that he took on a recent trip to San Francisco, but no serious fears were entertained until a change supervened, and death ensued in a few hours. Mr. Lind leaves a large family and numerous friends, who deeply mourn this sudden removal of one so dear to them.
Humboldt Times, Volume XXIX, Number 34, 11 February 1888
The funeral of the late CO Lind was attended yesterday afternoon at the Methodist Church. Sermon by Rev. Frank Stearns, of the U B Church. A long procession followed the remains to Myrtle Grove Cemetery.
