Virginia Gayle "Jenny" Modica, age 53, of Lancaster, Kentucky, and formerly of Paris, Kentucky, administrative assistant for the Administrative Office of the Courts and wife of Michael G. Modica, died Tuesday, June 17, 2014, at Saint Joseph Hospital, in Lexington, Kentucky. She was born September 9, 1960, in Bourbon County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Raymond and Daisy Puckett Abner. She was a graduate of Bourbon County High School.

Jenny is also survived by: a daughter, Natosha Modica, and a son, Christopher Lee Clifton, both of Lexington; a sister, Carol Sue (Paige) Stephens, of Toccoa, Georgia; and three brothers, Calvin Ray (Gertrude) Abner, of Paris, James Abner, of Richmond, and Ray C. Abner, of Harrison County. She was preceded in death by: four sisters, Betty Case, Alberta Jefferson, Linda Gail Spencer and Audrey May Abner; and two brothers, Kenneth Eugene Abner and Roy Allen Abner.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, June 22, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home by Marvin Abner, with burial in the Puckett Cemetery, in Irvine, Kentucky. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
