Cecil R. Walley, physician By Grace Simmons Clarion-Ledger Staff Writer Dr. Cecil R. Walley, 84, of 203 Sewanee Drive, a general practitioner, died of heart failure Thursday at the A.M.I. Medical Center in Hot Springs, Ark. Services are 2 p.m. today at the Lakewood Memorial Suite with burial in Lakewood Memorial Park. ; Dr. Walley, a Richton native, moved to Jackson at an early age.After graduating from Emory University, he returned to Jackson pnd went into practice with his father, Dr. Willis Walley. The two were co-owners of the Walley Hospital on West Capitol Street in 1937. i Later he opened his own office fih'd practiced at different West Capitol Street locations during his 52 years in medicine, said his daughter Rosie Walley McDade of Clinton. He closed his practice six years ago when his first wife died. "That was his goal," McDade said of her father's tenure in medicine. "He just wanted to practice 50 years." Her father's time was consumed by his family and practice, she said. "He did it all deliver babies, surgery," McDade said. "He had high morals and principles. He was just a fine person." Other survivors include: wife, Mildred; daughter, Betty Walley Piner of Plano, Texas. 2 sons - Luther Walley of Hot Springs and Cecil Walley of Water Valley
