Carol A. Pletcher, 50, of 28386 C.R. 50, Nappanee, died at 5 a.m. Tuesday (May 17, 2005) at home. She had been ill for seven months. She was born April 11, 1955, in Plymouth to Andy and Emma (Yoder) Borkholder. She married Stephen Pletcher on June 27, 1981, in Nappanee. He survives, along with two sons, Tim Pletcher and Thom Pletcher, both of Nappanee; two daughters, Katelyn Pletcher and Sarah Pletcher, both of Nappanee; one brother, Howard Borkholder of Plymouth; and one sister, Cindi (Tony) Hajicek of Wakarusa. She was preceded in death by one brother, Eugene Borkholder, and one sister, Mary Jane Borkholder. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and one hour before the 10:30 a.m. Saturday service at Northwood Chapel, 28220 C.R. 52, Nappanee. The Rev. Larry Pletcher of Northwood Chapel will officiate, along with the Rev. Ronnie Pletcher. Burial will be in South Union Cemetery. Thompson-Lengacher and Yoder Funeral Home, 905 N. Main St., Nappanee, is in charge of arrangements. A longtime area resident, Mrs. Pletcher graduated from Triton High School in 1973. She attended Zion Bible Institute, East Providence, R.I., and Southeastern Bible College, Lakeland, Fla. A homemaker, she was a member of Northwood Chapel. Memorials may be given to Elkhart County Hospice.
