MONTOYA - Alex C. Montoya Sr., 46, passed away on Wednesday, May 2, 2007 in Socorro, NM. He was born May 5, 1960 to Sylvestor J. and Frances Otero Montoya in Deming, NM. Alex is survived by his three sons: Alex Montoya Jr. and wife, Rhiannon; Mark Montoya and wife, Kandice; and Daniel Montoya, all of Socorro; two daughters: Leslie Montoya and Carmen Montoya, both of Socorro; brothers: Joe Montoya and wife, JoAnn of T or C, NM; and Father Juan Montoya of Roswell, NM; sisters: Beverly Chavez and husband, Andrew of Socorro; and Eva Cordova and husband, Ramon of Albuquerque, NM; grandchildren: Elijah Montoya, Justice Montoya, Alex Montoya III, Isaih Montoya, Alexis Montoya, Isaih Savedra, Jasmine Savedra, Shaylynn Montoya, Julius Lucero, Jerrick Stapleton, Josiah Chavez and Travon Jackson; nieces and nephews: Nathan Chavez, Jennifer Chavez, Rochelle Chavez, and Julie Chavez and husband, Mark Dillon. A Rosary will be recited on Monday, May 7, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. at San Miguel Catholic Church in Socorro. Funeral Mass will celebrated on Tuesday, May 8, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at San Miguel with Father Juan Montoya as Celebrant. Burial will be in the San Miguel Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Steadman-Hall Funeral Home, 309 Garfield, Socorro, NM.
