Fred James Lowe, age 73 of Maryville died Friday, May 16, 2003 at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was a member of Friendsville First Baptist Church and a retired welder from Tucker Steel for many years. He will be deeply loved and missed by all who knew him.

Preceded in death by: Parents, Floyd and Martha Lowe; Brothers, Don Lowe, Chester Lowe, Paul Lowe, David Lowe; Sisters, Barbara Gribble, Linda Hutsell, Dorothy Walker.

Survivors include: Wife, Joan H. Lowe; Son and Daughter-in-law, James E. & Shirley Lowe of Maryville; Daughters and Sons-in-law, Faye L. and Jeff Whitson of Johnson City, TN, Kim A. & Benny Hance of Elizabethton, TN; Eight Grandchildren; Six Great-Grandchildren; Brothers, Bill Lowe, Charles Lowe & wive Aletha all of Maryville; Sisters, Martha Coleman and husband Bill, Mary ONeal, Patsy and husband Wade Millsaps all of Maryville, Edith and husband Turk Sloan of Knoxville.

Funeral service will be at 3:00 PM, Sunday, May 18, 2003 in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Rev. Jim Lawhorn officiating. Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 1:00 until 3:00 PM, Sunday, May 18, 2003, Smith Mortuary, Trinity Chapel.
