Janey Marmion of Uvalde passed away on November 6, 2018 at her residence at the age of 68. She was born on August 1, 1950 to Janey (Slaughter) and Dolph Briscoe, Jr. She is survived by a brother, Dolph Briscoe III "Chip" and wife, Jill of Carrizo Springs; sister, Cele Briscoe Carpenter and husband, John W. Carpenter III of Dallas; nephews, Dolph Briscoe IV "D.B." and wife, Margaret of San Antonio; James Leigh Briscoe "Leigh" and wife, Erin of Carrizo Springs; Benjamin M. Carpenter II and wife, Mackenzie of Dallas; and Austin W. Carpenter and wife, Lauren of Dallas; and niece, Bonner B. Carpenter Acker and husband, Clayton of Dallas. She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Janey Katherine "Kate" Marmion. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 11, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Uvalde with private burial following at the Briscoe Ranch Cemetery. Rev Lonnie Moore will officiate.
