ELKHART -- Sandra Bowen, 67, of Elkhart, died Wednesday (May 16, 2007) at home. She was born May 29, 1939, in Elkhart to Merle and Florence (Signs) Pletcher. She is survived by two daughters, Deb Pedler and Delores Bowen, both of Elkhart; two sons, Rodney Dellinger of Elkhart and Greg (Audra) Dellinger of Goshen; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one sister, Phyllis (Harry) Gilbert of Riverview, Fla. She is also survived by her ex-husband, Palmer Dellinger of Marshville, N.C. She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Tina Ellsworth; one grandson, Bobby Esterline; and two husbands, Robert Johnson and Aaron Clifford Bowen. Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola, where funeral services will take place at 10 a.m. Monday. The Rev. Greg Serafino, pastor of Grace Brethren Church of Osceola, will officiate. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Ms. Bowen was very close to her father. She was a 1957 graduate of Jimtown High School and attended Osceola Grace Brethren Church. She belonged to the Eagles Bowling League, worked for Tara, formerly in Osceola, Swinger, formerly in Elkhart, and retired from Leer in 2002 after 19 years. She enjoyed gardening and nature, and will be remembered for her dedication to her family.
