Age 85, the son of the late Edward F. Theiss and Dorothy L. Pfister Theiss. He graduated from Cathedral Preparatory School in 1951, served in the United States Navy in the Caribbean and Mediterranean, and was employed by the United States Postal Service for 35+ years until he retired in 1993. Bob was an active member of St. Luke Catholic Church, where he served as an usher, greeter, and Eucharistic Minister. Besides volunteer work, Bob enjoyed travel, including trips to Florida and California, golfing at Green Meadows, and bocce in the St. George League.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Dolores C. Chriest Theiss, and his son Gregg R. Theiss.
He is survived by his daughter Mary Margaret Malue (Jim), his daughter-in-law Christina M. Theiss, both of Erie, five grandchildren and several cousins.
