Morris Major Ferrell

Staff Sargent Morris Major Ferrell, retired, age 74, of Tullahoma died Sunday, November 4, 2018. A funeral service will be conducted Wednesday November 7, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the First Church of Jesus Christ of Tullahoma. Burial with military honors will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. The Ferrell family will receive friends at Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home Tuesday evening from 5 until 8 PM.
A native of Coffee County, he was the son of the late Floyd Edward and Gertrude Comer Ferrell and the husband of Mary Frances Ferrell who survives. Mr. Ferrell was a veteran of 34 years of service in the United States Army and the Tennessee National Guard, serving during the Vietnam War Era, and as a Nike Missile Program technician. He worked as a HVAC mechanic for the Tullahoma City School System and as a HVAC instructor at the Shelbyville Technical School. He was an avid fisherman. Mr. Ferrell was a member of the End Time Mission Church of Jesus Christ in Estill Springs.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Ferrell was preceded in death by a sister, Eva Doris Adams, and brother Edward Ferrell.
Mr. Ferrell is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mary Frances Hastings Ferrell, of Tullahoma, sons, Richard Ferrell and fiancé Angela Hanley of Tullahoma, and Brian Ferrell and wife Vanessa of Hot Springs, Arkansas; brother, Berlin Ferrell of Moore County, TN, 4 grandchildren Richard Gaige Ferrell, Kayla Madison Ferrell, Collin Major Ferrell and Macy Noelle Ferrell, and 3 Great-grandchildren Zay-lee Ferrell Titan Griffith, and Kyzer Griffith.
