Howard Montgomery lived all except the first ten years of his life in the Howard, Post and Paint Creek communities of Haskell County. He first married Hettie Jane Underwood and they had one son, H.B., before being divorced. He later married my mother, Grace Louella Dilbeck. I am their only child although they also raised Edith M. Dilbeck, mother's half-sister, from an infant. Howard was a WW I veteran. He was a farmer all his life. He died in the Haskell hospital from prostate cancer.
