Mrs. Harris passed away November 3, 2018, in Grand Saline. She was born May 30, 1937 in Van Zandt County to Columbus Washington & Annie Mae Prestidge Brown. She was a member of Bible Baptist Church and was a bookkeeper for Harris Pit Stop.
Effie was preceded in death by her parents; son, Ray Edward Harris; granddaughter, Kelly Nicole Harris; brothers, Buddy Brown and Johnny Brown; and sisters, Judy Brewer and Faye Stephens.
Survivors include her husband of 66 years, John "Junior" Harris of Grand Saline; son, John Odell Harris & wife Barbara of Grand Saline; sister-in-law, Patsy Harris of Grand Saline; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Jed Yarbrough, David Glidwell, Daniel Brown, Johnny Stephens, Terry Don Harris and Gerald Denton.
Interment will follow in Woodside Cemetery.
