Present or accounted for until wounded in the left arm and captured at Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, July 1-4, 1863. Left arm amputated. Hospitalized at Gettysburg until transferred to Davids Island, New York Harbor, July 17-24, 1863. Paroled and transferred for exchange on or about September 8, 1863. Reported absent wounded until discharged on March 14, 1864.
