Gary L. King, age 68 years, of Wauseon, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday evening, October 31, 2018, in his home. He was born June 18, 1950, at Wauseon, the son of Orville and Luella (Liechty) King. A 1968 graduate of Archbold High School, he married Joan Wyse on May 23, 1970. He drove truck for Geiger Transportation before owning King Transportation for 15 years. Then he worked for N2 Farms and currently worked for AMC Transportation. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and attending their activities. Other hobbies included woodworking and vacationing in Florida. He was a member of North Clinton Church in Wauseon.

He is survived by his wife, Joan; two daughters, April (Reggie) Beck of Wauseon and Dawn (Tony) Mast of Goshen, IN; six grandchildren, Janet, Leah and Jamison Beck, and Noah, Isaac and Jacob Mast; one brother, Ron (Cathy) King of Archbold; two sisters, Charlene (Ed) Starry of Stryker and Joyce (Richard); Seiler of Archbold.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial services will be held on Monday at 3 PM at North Clinton Church with Pastors Glenn Coblentz and Brad Faler officating. Interment will precede in the Pettisville Cemetery. Friends may call at North Clinton Church from 2-7 PM on Sunday. Short Funeral Home in Archbold has been entrusted with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to North Clinton Church.
