Susie Lee (Anderson) Henderson arrived at her new home in Heaven on March 18, 2021. She was the youngest of four siblings and the proud mother of five boys.

A lifelong resident of Manatee County, Susie dedicated her life to her faith, late husband, Pete, her family and friends. During the Great Depression, Susie delivered The Bradenton Herald on her bicycle as the only female "paper boy" at the time. She maintained her promise and obligation to play the piano at Manatee Methodist Church every Sunday in exchange for "free" lessons she received at age 17.

As a Registered Nurse for over 50 years, her caring and generosity were obvious to those who knew her, as well as those who didn't. Despite every adversity she faced, Susie prevailed with courage and positive attitude that was handed down to her from her mother.

She is survived by her five sons; Doug (Sue), David (Elsona), Dale, Dana, and Duane (Barbara), nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and an unimaginable number of relatives and friends.

Services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, March 27, 2021 at Manatee United Methodist Church, 315 15th Street East, Bradenton, FL, 34208, where masks will be required.

Brown and Sons Funeral Homes and Crematory 43rd Street Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, Susie would undoubtedly prefer a small donation to Manatee United Methodist Church/Music fund.

Condolences may be made to www.brownandsonsfuneral.com.
