Mrs. Robert (Shirley) Huiting, 70, Green Bay, died Friday, February 10, 2006, at a local nursing home. She was born December 30, 1935 to the late Albert and Mary (Pozorski) Heim in Manitowoc.

On June 18, 1955, she married Robert H. Huiting at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Manitowoc.

For 11 years, Shirley took care of over 100 foster babies in her home. She loved reading, was a member of a bowling league and was an assistant den mother with the Cub Scouts.

Survivors include her loving husband of 50 years, Robert, two daughters and sons-in-law, Cathy and Edward Mackay, Edgerton and Lisa and Kevin Aschenbrenner, De Pere; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Robert J. and Trina Huiting, Surprise, Arizona; Steven and Patti Huiting, Green Bay; Michael and Anita Huiting, Appleton; and Joseph A. Huiting, and his special friend, Carrie, Green Bay; 19 grandchildren; her mother-in-law, Marie Huiting, Kaukauna; a sister-in-law, Marg Heim, Manitowoc and Florida; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Mary and Gene Gauthier, Oshkosh. Many nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Annie, one brother, Raymond Heim and a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Al and Elaine Linsmeier.

Friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Monday, February 13, at Lyndahl Funeral Home where a wake service will be held at 7:00 P.M. Visitation will continue after 10:00 A.M. Tuesday at St. Agnes Catholic Church where the Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 A.M. with the Rev. Richard Getchel officiating. Entombment will be at Allouez Chapel Mausoleum.
