Donald Councell Dulin Sr., 93, died on October 29, 2018 at Compass Regional Hospice in Centreville.
Mr. Dulin was born on January 15, 1925 in Easton, MD, the son of the late Omer and Anna Councell Dulin.
He married the former Jean Callahan and they were married for over 40 years. They bought Love Farm in Queen Anne, MD and farmed it together for 46 years. In 1971, they moved to Dulin Rd. in Queen Anne, MD. In 1971, Mr. Dulin retired from farming and worked for Milford Fertilizer in Wye Mills, MD, now known as Growmark FS, Nagel Farm Services in Cordova, MD.
Mr. Dulin was a member of the Hunters and Hounds Club. He loved his dogs, fox hunting, baseball and softball. He enjoyed cutting grass and riding his golf cart.
Mr. Dulin is survived by his children; Budgie Saulsbury (Steve) of Easton, Betsy Truitt (Phil) of Queen Anne, , Donnie Dulin (Amy) of Trappe, and Mike Dulin (Theresa) of Trappe, a sister, Ruth Winbourn of PA, a brother, Bunk Dulin (Joyce) of Cordova and a sister-in-law, Marie Dulin of Easton; grandchildren, Jeff Saulsbury (Alisha), Matt Saulsbury, Amy Hutchison (Kyle), Kelly Hall, Ritchie Dulin (Kristin), Casey Baynard (Jason), Kari Edwards (Davey) and Kayla Dilworth (Ben) and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Jean C. Dulin, who died in 1987, a brother, Omer Dulin Sr., a sister, Becky Sharp and a grandson, Scott Truitt.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 2, 2018 at 11 AM at Fellows, Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home, P.A., 200 S. Harrison St., Easton, where friends may call from 9-11 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
Memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Dulin’s honor to Compass Regional Hospice, 160 Coursevall Drive, Centreville, MD 21617.
