Janet J. Kroenke, age 71 of the Town of Richmond, passed away Monday, May 10, 2010 at a local nursing home. Born on October 10, 1938 in Clintonville, she was the daughter of the late Marvin and Alma (Behn) Gehrke. On November 11, 1959 she was united in marriage to David H. Kroenke in Clintonville. Janet lived most of her married life in the Town of Richmond where the couple farmed and raised their family. Janet was a member of the St. Jakobi Lutheran Church where she was a member of the Ladies Aid, served on the finance committee and on the altar guild. She was also active with the confirmation classes and vacation bible school.
Janet is survived by: her husband of 50 years, David; 1 son, Paul (Amy) Kroenke of Shawano; 2 daughters, Wendy Kroenke of Shawano, Dawn (Jesse) Buntrock of Shawano; 5 grandchildren, Justin, Austin, Brandon and Tristan Buntrock, Shayla Kroenke; 1 brother, Bill (Sue) Gehrke of Clintonville; and a sister, Donna (Rod) Lautin of Clintonville.
Janet was preceded in death by: her parents; and a sister, Lavonnie Hunt.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Friday, May 14, 2010 at the St. Jakobi Lutheran Church in the Town of Richmond with the Rev. Travis Kleinschmidt officiating. Inurnment will be in the church cemetery. Family and friends may call at the church on Friday after 9:30am until the time of the service. Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano is assisting the family with the arrangements.
