Frances E. Powell Caron, 99, beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, of Delray Beach, FL, formerly of West Hartford, CT died Monday, October 22nd supported and comforted by the love of her family by her side. Fran was born in South Portland, Maine on December 4, 1918, the daughter of Felix Powell and Mary Ann Card Powell. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Joseph Maurice Caron after 65 years of marriage. She was a devoted member of the First United Methodist Church of Hartford having served as a nursery school teacher there for 10 years. She retired to Delray Beach, FL after long careers as managers of Tongren & Son Lumber Company and Glidden Paint and Wall Covering in West Hartford. The final years of her life she spent making major contributions to the LifeSpace Community-Abbey Delray in Delray Beach, FL.

Fran was predeceased by her brother and four sisters. She leaves her two children, five grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren who will forever remember their beloved Nana and GG. To honor her wishes Fran will have her ashes strewn over Oyster Pond in Chatham, Cape Cod., MA, a place she referred to as "heaven on earth". Fran had a song to sing for every occasion and she left this world a more enjoyable place because of it.
