Services for Cassian Mayer, a Civil War veteran, who died at No. 1257 South State street yesterday, will be held at 9 o’clock at that address and at 10 o’clock at the Church of the Assumption, Thursday morning. Burial will be in the Assumption cemetery. Mr. Mayer was a member of Lilly Post, G. A. R. His death resulted from a lingering illness. Four sons, Joseph M., Frederick C., John and Frank Mayer; four daughters, Mrs. G. T. Bentley, Mrs. R. D. Baker, Mrs. C. E. Weber and Mrs. G. A. Mesmer, eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, survive him.
