Harvey is the husband of Nellie Parsons Bledsoe and the Father of Glen Bledsoe, Charles Bledsoe, Frank Bledsoe and Faye Bledsoe Carroll.

Papaw will always be remembered as highly honorable by all his family, friends and other people that knew him. Him and Mamaw were always there when someone was in need of their help, they never turned their back on nobody, even if they knew they wouldn't appreciate it anyway. He worked hard over the years farming to raise his family through very rough times during the 20's, 30's & 40's and still remained a kind, gentle & loving man. He wired a lot of houses for people all around the area when the power company were putting in the power lines through the area and drove a school bus for years but I don't know exactly which years but I think it was in the early 50's because my Dad took over for him when he stopped driving. I could write page after page of the goodness he did here on earth. Him and Mamaw Nellie are a perfect example of what true family values really means. I ask him once if the good ole days were really the good ole days, he kind of shook his head a little and said "Well they would have been if there had been any money". After having several strokes in the later part of his live he passed away sitting in his wheel chair, Mamaw Nellie & Faye didn't even realize he had died until they started to put him in bed, because they were use to seeing him fall asleep the same way every evening. My Dad has told me Papaw had always told him that when he died he would like to just go to sleep & not wake up. He is missed very much by everyone.
