A native of Ogden, UT, she was born Feb 6, 1929, to George H. and Lillian C. (Clarke) Adams and had lived in Reno since 1970, coming from Salt Lake City.
Mrs. Crompton owned and operated the Hanger Pilot Shop at Shopper's Square in Reno for 15 years.
Her parents preceded her in death.
Surviving are husband, Richard, son, David E., and daughter, Carol Hardie, all of Reno; daughter, Jan Compau of Fernley; brother, Walter D. Adams of Ventura, CA; sister, Florence Mary Grimes of Pocatello, ID; and one granddaughter.
Visitation was held at Walt Funeral Home, Reno. Cremation was to be at Sierra Crematory.
A memorial fund is being established with the American Cancer Society, 712 Mill St., Reno 89502
