Mrs. Edith Martin was born April 15, 1881 in Reynolds, Neb., and died in a Fairbury, Neb., hospital April 11, 1961, at the age of 79 years, 11 months and 28 days.
She was married to Charles Martin on July 4, 1900 and to them five children were born. Mrs. Martin had been living at 314 West Fourth street with her daughter, Mrs. Baxter Spears.
She was preceded in death by her husband and two children, Ray and Pearl.
Surviving are a son, Lee Martin of Iowa City, Iowa; two daughters, Mrs. Hazel Bronson or Ototoks, Alberta, Canada, and Mrs. Ethel Spears of Fairbury, and a brother, George Dopp of Fairbury.
Funeral services were Friday afternoon in the First church of God with the pastor, Rev. L. A. Etheridge, officiating. Pallbearers were Rollie Hughes, Deyo Hughes, Lawrence Hanson, Willard Gumaer, Almon Jones and Bill Babcock. Burial was in the Reynolds cemetery.
