Roy was born in Kansas City the son of Thomas Holiday Buckner and Missouri Belle Branch Buckner. He was married to Ruby Opal Poland who died in 1964. He attended Fairview school in Jefferson City and was a member of the Immanuel Baptist church. He was retired from the Missouri Pacific Railroad. He lived most of his life around Jefferson City, MO. Roy and his beloved wife Ruby had no children but were favorite Uncle and Aunt to many nieces and nephews as well as grand nieces and nephews. He was a kind man and wonderful son and husband.
